KARTING EQUIPMENT

Racing Apparel and Helmets are a requirement for most motorsports including Karting. Some helmet manufacturers have Kart specific models and most auto racing helmets also qualify.. Common manufacturers include Bell, Arai, Simpson and Zamp.

We have a wide range of helmets for both Karting and other motorsports. Here are a few of the Kart Specific helmets for both juniors and adults.

Bell GP.2 CMR

The GP.2 CMR is the karting youth version of the GP.2 which combines advanced F1 styling, an innovative air intake system for maximum ventilation and leading-edge aerodynamic performance. The GP.2 CMR is certified to the CMH standard, developed jointly by the FIA Institute and the Snell Memorial Foundation. This standard has been developed to create a protective yet light weight helmet for use in karting.

GP.2 CMR is a fantastic choice for youger karters who demand superior features, light weight and excellent fit. The GP.2 CMR features a front aero chin bar, an ultra-lightweight carbon composite shell, pro-style interior with synthetic neck collar for outstanding comfort, and a front air intake that forces air into the helmet's forehead vents for maximum ventilation. Under CIK regulations, helmets certified to the Snell-FIA CMH standard (CMR) can be used in karting and is designed for drivers under 18 years of age. The GP.2 CMR is an extremely light weight helmet weighing 1185 grams in sizes 54 to 56 and 1230 grams in sizes 57 to 59 (+/- 3%).

Bell GP.2 K

The GP.2K is the karting only version of the GP.2 which combines advanced F1 styling, an innovative air intake system for maximum ventilation and leading-edge aerodynamic performance. The Snell K2010 GP.2K is a fantastic choice for karters who demand superior features, light weight and excellent fit.

The GP.2K features a front aero chin bar, an ultra-lightweight carbon composite shell, pro-style interior with synthetic neck collar for outstanding comfort, and a front air intake that forces air into the helmet's forehead vents for maximum ventilation. The .200mm GP.2K air intake is replaceable and the helmet can be used without the air intake. The direct flow upper and lower chin bar vents on the front of the helmet help to increase airflow and prevent shield fogging.

Bell GTX.2

The redesigned GTX.2 is an ideal choice for racers competing in open wheel, open compartment, formula, karting or dirt track forms of racing. The Snell SA2010/FIA8858 GTX.2 features sleek aero styling including a front chin gurney and integrated rear wing for enhanced aerodynamic stability at higher speeds. With an ultra-lightweight carbon composite shell and pro-style interior for outstanding comfort, The GTX.2 provides industry-leading performance lap after lap.

The design of the GTX.2 is effective at preventing dust and dirt from entering the helmet by combining a venturi air exchange system with Bell's innovative eyeport foam tape and positive locking mechanism that seals the visor. The venturi ventilation system allows air to exchange inside the helmet. As air flows over the helmet, the venturi effect increases cooling inside the helmet and prevents shield fogging by creating a vacuum to pull airflow through the helmet. The rear facing chin bar vents and rear exhaust vents allow ventilation while minimizing dust and dirt inside the helmet.

Bell GP.2 Youth

A fantastic choice for young racers who demand great styling, superior features, light weight and excellent fit in a smaller configuration, the GP.2 Youth is built specifically for children and younger racers. The SFI 24.1 certified GP.2 Youth has the same design features as the adult GP.2 model.

The GP.2 Youth helmet is designed for young racers who need an extra small size helmet that is fire retardant. The GP.2 Youth is SFI 24.1 certified – the SFI 24.1 standard is accepted by various youth racing and karting organizations including the Quarter Midget Association of America (QMA).

The helmet features removable / replaceable cheek pads for a more customized fit. The GP.2 Youth also features a front aero chin bar, a lightweight composite shell, pro-style interior neck collar for outstanding comfort, and a front air intake that forces air into the helmet's forehead vents for maximum ventilation. The .200mm GP.2 Youth clear air intake is replaceable and the helmet can be used without the air intake. The direct flow upper and lower chin bar vents on the front of the helmet help to increase airflow and prevent shield fogging.
