Ice Racing
Northern Alberta Sports Car Club hosts an ice racing series throughout the winter. Ice racing is wheel-to-wheel racing on a frozen lake. They run classes for studded tires, non-studded and unlimited racing studs bringing exciting slip-sliding action! http://nascc.ab.ca/ for the details including which lake has the best ice conditions to allow racing.
School: Jan 15 (clubhouse) and 16 (On-track)

Race 2 & 3: Jan 23 & 24
Alternate dates: February 6 & 7

Lac La Biche: Mar 6 & 7.
Ice racing requires a race prepared car including roll cage and safety gear. Check the website for the complete rules.
Rallycross / Winter Autocross
The Calgary Sports Car Club has scheduled the annual winter series of autocross events at the Race City Motorsport Park spectator parking lot. www.cscc.ab.ca for details

Winter Autocross events are open to anyone with a safe vehicle (no special requirements) and provides an excellent place to learn aqnd practice winter driving skills or get an introduction to motorsports such as rallying.
